Privacy Policy

This policy explains what KopaHub collects, why, and who else sees it. It applies to kopahub.xyz and the KopaHub app.

1. What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided by Google when you sign in. We never see or store your Google password.
• Service details — your state, LGA, state code, batch, and passing-out date, so listings can be scoped to corps members near you.
• Identity documents — if you apply to sell, the NYSC ID, NIN, or Voter's Card you upload. Invited non-corper members also provide a full name and home address. These are stored privately and are readable only by you and KopaHub admins reviewing your application — never by other users.
• Listings and skills — anything you post, including photos.
• Order details — what you bought or sold, the amount, your contact phone number, and a delivery address where you chose delivery. Sellers also provide bank details for payouts.
• Messages and reviews — Skills chat messages and any ratings you leave.
• Usage data — when you were last active (used to send re-engagement emails), and standard analytics described below.

2. How we use it

• To run your account, listings, orders, and payouts.
• To verify sellers, so buyers know who they're dealing with.
• To send you transactional email and notifications — order confirmations, sale alerts, verification results, and occasional reminders if you've been away.
• To investigate reports, fraud, and Terms violations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. What other users can see

Other users see only your name, profile photo, verified badge, account type, and your public listings, skills, and ratings. Your email, phone number, home address, identity documents, and bank details are never shown to other users. When you place an order, the seller receives the contact phone number and delivery address you entered for that order, so they can fulfil it.

Listing pages are publicly viewable without signing in, so a listing you post can be seen by anyone with the link.

4. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics to understand how the app is used.

We also use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to KopaHub and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

5. Services we share data with

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — hosts the app itself.
• Paystack — processes payments. Your card details go directly to Paystack and are never seen or stored by KopaHub.
• Resend — delivers our email.
• Google — sign-in, Analytics, and AdSense.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — if you search for listings via our WhatsApp bot. The bot stores only a one-way hashed version of your WhatsApp number plus what you searched for, never the raw number or your message text.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Order and payment records are kept longer where we're required to for accounting and dispute resolution. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time using the contact details below — we'll action it except where we're legally required to retain a record.

7. Notifications

Push notifications are entirely opt-in and can be turned off from your Profile, or in your browser or device settings, at any time.

8. Children

KopaHub is intended for NYSC corps members and invited adult members. It is not intended for anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as KopaHub grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
